The Ladin club's management is delighted to announce that 28-year-old Italian-Swedish forward Joshua Berger and his brother Noah (22) are two new additions to Sportiva HC Fassa Falcons for the upcoming 2026/27 Italian Hockey League season.

Born in 1998, Joshua grew up in Scandinavia where he developed as a hockey player. He arrived in Italy for the first time in 2021/22 to pull on the shirt of the Alleghe Owls, before moving the following season to Merano in the AlpsHL. After concluding his South Tyrolean adventure he transferred to Pergine, where he enjoyed a successful third season in the country, winning both the league championship and the Italian Cup under Coach Ambrosi, registering 20 goals and 33 assists with the Lynxes over the course of the season.

Following that happy spell in Trentino he moved on to Aosta, where in his first year with the Gladiators he accumulated 40 points (20 goals and 20 assists), before going on to feature in only 12 matches last season, nonetheless managing 2 goals and 11 assists.

Joining Joshua in the shadow of the Marmolada is his younger brother Noah. Born in 2004, he will turn 22 on the 28th of September. Like Joshua, he holds dual Italian-Swedish nationality. Born in Sweden, he began playing as a child with the Frölunda Indians, taking his first steps on the ice with the famous club. At 16 he moved to Västerås IK, where he continued to develop both as an athlete and as a person, demonstrating excellent qualities and contributing to a fifth-place finish in the Swedish Under-20 championship — a result that shaped his path forward and led him to venture beyond his home country to Italy. First came a spell at Pergine, again under Coach Ambrosi, where he played 10 matches and registered 4 goals and 11 assists. Last season he joined Joshua at Aosta, featuring in 12 matches and contributing 10 goals and 7 assists.

Full of passion and determination, the Berger brothers arrive at Fassa this year and are reunited with Coach Ambrosi, with the ambition of writing an important chapter beneath the roof of the Scola. They are undoubtedly two significant additions to the Falcons' attacking arsenal.
